Join us for our first PTA General Meeting on September 10th at 3:30PM in the PSE Cafeteria (before Open House). PTA members and non-members are all welcome! Come meet our new committee chairs, review our budget for the year and learn about our upcoming events, including our annual fall festival, Explorer Fest!

Visit the PTA table at Open House on September 10th from 4:00-5:30PM to meet our team, and sign-up for committees or volunteer opportunities!

Reflections Art Contest

The Reflections Art Contest is officially underway! Calling all Explorers who love to write, dance, sing, create art, or express themselves through creativity.

This year’s theme is “What My Culture Means To Me” — a chance to share your unique perspective, experiences, and creativity with the PSE community!

Mrs. Stone will open up her Art Room for students to work on their submissions (must be accompanied by an adult).

TEXAS PTA ADVOCACY SURVEY - DUE THIS WEDNESDAY

Please take a few minutes to fill out the Texas PTA Legislative Priorities survey by Wednesday, September 9, 2026. The more voices we have, the bigger weight our voices carry. We want to see SBISD zip codes represent!

Make sure your voter registration is up-to-date. Your application must be RECEIVED BY 10/5/26 to vote in the November elections.

COFFEE WITH THE COUNCIL MEMBER AND COPS

Thursday, September 10 at 10am-11:30am at Trini Mendenhall Center (1414 Wirt)

Take the opportunity to meet District A Council Member Amy Peck and HPD NW Division Captain Edgar Cerpas for coffee and conversation about public safety. This is a great opportunity to have face-to-face time and bring any concerns you may have. As it’s said, “the squeaky wheel gets the grease.”

Vice Mayor Pro-Tem Peck represents the entire Northside of SBISD and a small part of the Southside from 610 to just past Chimney Rock. HPD NW Division covers 6 police beats including the neighborhoods of Spring Branch, Spring Shadows, Afton Village, etc. so take opportunities to get to know who serves us and let them get to know you.

Aproveche la oportunidad para conocer a la Concejala Peck del Distrito A de la ciudad y el Capitán Edgar Cerpas de HPD División del Noroeste y tomar un cafecito y conversar sobre seguridad pública. Es una buena oportunidad para reunirse cara a cara y llevar cualquier preocupación que tenga. Como dicen, “el que no pide, no se le da.”

In order to volunteer on an SBISD campus, you must be registered with SBISD and pass a background check. Registrations are now open for the 2026-2027 school year and take up to two weeks to approve.

Car Rider Line - Door Squad

Mornings are much smoother with volunteers helping in the car rider line! Volunteers are needed to assist opening car doors for our kiddos and directing them to the front entrance. Help as often as you can!
