We are having a storybook pumpkin decorating contest! You may decorate a pumpkin based on a favorite book character.

• Pumpkins must be less than 5 pounds
• No carving the pumpkin
• Please put student's name in the book and on the back of the pumpkin
• Decorated pumpkins are to be turned in from October 20 - 29 so we may display them in the library
• Voting will be October 31st 
• Pumpkins will return home on October 31st

This year's PTA Reflections Art Contest theme is "I Belong!"

All students are welcome to participate in any of the following disciplines: Dance, Film,  Literature,  Music,  Photography, and Visual Arts. Submissions are due by October 31st to Mrs. Stone.

• Election day is Tuesday, November 4th. Find your ballot here. Early voting sites are open from 7am-7pm through Friday 10/31. 

• There are 17 proposed Texas constitutional amendments. More information is available at the non-partisan League of Women Voters Houston Voter’s Guide.

• Note: Some PSE families live in congressional district TX18 (Rep. Sylvester Turner’s former district). This race is on the 11/4/25 ballot, among others.

• Any registered voter can vote at any voting center during early voting and on Election Day. Find vote centers here. 

  • Trini Mendenhall (1414 Wirt Road) and First Congregational Church (10840 Beinhorn Road) are nearby early vote centers. 

• If you are not registered to vote for this election, to vote in the next one (March 3, 2026 Primary elections), you must register at least 30 days before the next one (by February 2, 2026). 

• How to register to vote (from Harris County Tax Office) or change your address here.

  • Request a paper application via e-mail at voters@tax.hctx.net. Provide a mailing address and phone number in your email. 

  • Call 713-274-VOTE (8683) to be assisted in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, or Chinese.

  • Pick up an application at your local U.S. Postal office, public library, high school, Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) site, and other government offices.
